An upside down world

This little boy of mine has become quite a fan of being upside down.  This is accomplished by doing headstands, somersaults (forward and backward) and flips.  Here's a glimpse of what he does a good portion of his day.

Dominican Republic

Ahhh......so relaxing.  Jared and I went to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic earlier this month.  So nice.  Just us.  No kids.  I love them lots but it was nice to have some time away.  We spent most of our time reading on the beach and it was wonderful.  Grandma Jean Jean watched the kids while we were gone and we greatly appreciated that.  She said they were adorable but I think she was happy our trip wasn't any longer :)
The view from our room.

We took a bike tour around our area.
A little walk through a wildlife reserve
So much reading
We had flamingo's at the resort.  Why not?
My view for 5 days.  Once again...ahhhh
And of course we swam in the ocean

Happy December

I think the holidays are completely wonderful.  We kept ourselves plenty busy in December.

It wouldn't be a normal for us not to have a project going on.  Don't be scared, it's just Jared.  He redid Connor's entire ceiling.  And by redid, I mean tear everything down and start from scratch.  Which reminds me...I have pictures of that I should put up.  This is a night after sanding.

Just because...

Christmas wouldn't be complete without a gingerbread house.  I think Connor gets his ability to focus on projects from me.  Or not.  Notice how carefully he's putting the candy on the x on the house.

Merry Christmas!!!  It was a fun Christmas had by all!

We found twister at a yard sale and pulled it out for Christmas.  Jared said he was getting it for Connor and I thought he was crazy, but I've been proven wrong.  Connor loves it and is really good at it too.
The Gonzalez family came down for a few days too and we had lots of fun with them!

Connor thinks their matching ties are pretty great.  Thanks grandma and grandpa B!

Her first pony tail.  Cutest pony tail I've ever seen

Freezing rain

I love the after math of freezing rain as long as driving is not in the picture.
